What are we paying?
We are collecting current tariffs, historical rate changes, and full-bill examples to make meaningful, source-backed comparisons.
Rate evidence in progressAccountability starts with the facts
The cost of wastewater service should never be a mystery. See documented rates, state decisions and community concerns, then follow the evidence.

The numbers, up front
Compare a documented public-utility tariff with your own bill. We are still obtaining Integra's verified Madison County rate schedule.
6,000 gallons • standard residential • inside Madison city limits • 5/8″ meter
We will not invent a monthly price or imply your household's bill represents every Integra customer.
Integra card/convenience fee: unverified. We are seeking the actual Alabama fee schedule or a redacted payment receipt.
Public reference only, not a proposed Integra replacement rate or guaranteed savings. Excludes special fees and account-specific adjustments. Official rate schedule ↗
Latest: official legislative record, Integra homeowner billing terms, and county sewer permit agenda added to our evidence library.
What changed? →The issue
Wastewater service affects every household budget and neighborhood. We're asking what residents pay, what they receive, and who is accountable when something goes wrong.
We are collecting current tariffs, historical rate changes, and full-bill examples to make meaningful, source-backed comparisons.
Rate evidence in progressWe want documented answers about maintenance, responsiveness, reliability, and complaint handling, not unverified generalizations.
Service evidence in progressWe're examining regulatory oversight and whether publicly accountable wastewater service could be financially and operationally feasible.

We're reviewing primary documents before publishing company-specific allegations or comparisons. Each future finding will show its source and verification status.
Applicable system tariffs, fees and effective dates
Verified reports, official records and complaint outcomes
Legal authority, operations, costs and transition options
Compare the options
Before anyone claims public service will save money, we need equivalent rates, the same services, and a realistic accounting of acquisition and operating costs.
Specific system, fixed fees, adjustments, and billing dates must be verified before numbers appear.
Public ownership or operation is a question to investigate, not a guaranteed rate reduction.
Why no dollar savings estimate yet? Comparing different wastewater systems without accounting for service scope, debt, maintenance, and acquisition costs would be misleading. A public tariff reference calculator is available above; full comparative savings estimates require verified Integra tariffs. Read methodology →
Resident voices
Billing questions. Maintenance concerns. Helpful employees. Reliable service. We want a complete, accurate picture of residents' experiences, including positive experiences.
We're designing secure resident verification, consent controls, document redaction and a moderation process before accepting stories.

We're preparing a petition requesting transparent evaluation of accountable wastewater alternatives, including the costs, benefits and risks of public operation.
Our petition is being drafted. We won't pretend signatures are being collected until a real petition link is available.
